We've developed an integrated commerce Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform that leverages AI, designed to empower attractions like theme parks, museums, and theaters with an all-in-one solution for managing, marketing, and pricing their offerings effectively.
As a rapidly expanding, product-driven SaaS startup, we're on the lookout for a QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our growing company. You'll collaborate closely with a close-knit team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of this industry. Our tech and product team currently consists of three technical leads, seventeen developers, three QA specialists, one designer, one product owner, and two technical support engineers. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work on challenging problems with a very motivated team.

What you will do
As a QA Engineer at Smeetz, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and success of our SaaS product. Your focus will be on assessing and enhancing the product's functionality, reliability, and overall user satisfaction. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, sales, and marketing, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our product.
Key responsibilities in this role include:
- Test Planning:
- Develop testing plans outlining the approach and scope.
- Test Case Design:
- Create detailed test cases based on requirements.
- Test Execution:
- Execute test cases to identify defects and ensure functionality.
- Defect Reporting:
- Document and report defects for resolution.
- Regression Testing:
- Ensure existing functionality after code changes.
- Automation Testing:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
- Performance and Security Testing:
- Assess performance and identify security vulnerabilities.
- Collaboration:
- Work with developers, perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive testing documentation.
- Process Improvement:
- Contribute to improving QA processes and methodologies.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is often preferred.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks, both manual and automated, such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or others depending on the technology stack.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, C#, or others, is often beneficial, especially for automated testing.
- Ability to create detailed and effective test cases based on software requirements and specifications.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) and an understanding of security testing concepts.
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
