Samir has more than 16 years’ experience within oil and gas industry from Algeria, tunisia and chad. Graduated from University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene in 2004 with Engineering Degree in Geophysics. joined Sonatrach / PED Division in 2007 as a Study and development Petrophysicist, at the "Department Formation and Evaluation of Gisements Oil and Gas fields" (Development Direction), with several participations in Data Room, planning and supervision of Open and cased hole several aquisitions. I have 5 years’ experience in FDP.
Now, participated in several petrophysical evaluations in various fields’ reservoirs in Algeria
The principal responsibility was to perform the formation evaluation and provide all the required petrophysical data to Geomodeller to build the static model. Leading a 10 team Petrophysicist.
I was involved in the reservoir formation evaluation of about 35 wells utilizing very old logs in X field in Algeria. The project involved identifying key well based on recent logs and carrying out normalization of older logs. Petrophysical properties such as shale, sand volumes were deriving as well as the corresponding hydrocarbon volumes. Key benchmark was also established by using the core as reference. Results from the formation were used to build geological model which was also not in existence for this field.
The principal responsibility was to perform the formation evaluation for the different fields in the Chad country, and provide all the required petrophysical data to Geomodeller to build the static model.

The member of the reservoir evaluation & logging operation community leading a team projects of logging program, tool acquisition, and to provide formation evaluation (FE) operational support and interpretation services in Logging While Drilling (LWD) and Wireline (WL). Did the interpretation & study for field carbonate formations reservoir for Tunisia Kaboudia offshore permit.
Worked with multi-disciplinary team reservoir characterization for field development projects (tight gas reservoir). These projects integrated with Halliburton consulting and schlumberger.
The principal responsibility was to perform the formation evaluation and provide all the required petrophysical data to Geomodeller to build the static model. The main steps involved include:
A part of a multi-disciplinary reservoir characterization team, for Strategic asset of unconventional shale gas reservoirs development. The principal responsibility:
I was also responsible to Evaluation and Analyses offer of different companies logging services and classified according to capacity and quality for contract logging and testing realization
Providing in-house petrophysical support for 4 different assets in gas and oil field, Worked extensively
